This stretch of Limestone Coast in South Australia is often surpassed and now we can tell you that it definitely shouldn’t be! Our first stop in the cute town of Mount Gambier sure did surprise us. There really is so much to see and do and it’s a travellers paradise due to the array of scenery and outdoor activities. It is a popular destination and offers a mid-way point between Melbourne, Vic and Adelaide, SA, to stop and rest on the journey.

A drive we have always talked about doing, so when NSW Tourism got in touch to see if we’d be interested in promoting this region, we jumped at it! The Murray River is Australia’s longest river at 2,508km! An iconic Australian region with diverse landscapes, it really is a great way to relax.
Stradbroke Island, also known as Straddie or North Straddie, lies within Moreton Bay, 30km off Brisbane. The second largest sand island in the world after Fraser Island. Straddie comprises of three small towns, several Lakes and a coastline full of beaches and rocky outcrops.
After leaving the scenic sites and attractions of Kakadu and Cooinda Lodge we head south through Katherine, arriving in Mataranka over 400km later. What an AMAZING part of the country it is!!
Fraser Island - this worlds largest sand island, world heritage listed and stretches 123km long. One of our highlights in three years of travel and you HAVE to put this on your bucket list, I’ll tell you why!“Take with you memories, leave only footprints”.
A 75 Acre property near Hervey Bay and a fantastic low cost campground called Fraser Coast RV Park. As we are heading over to Fraser Island from Hervey Bay, we decided to park up at this gorgeous campground.

What a cool campsite just north of Gympie that we found on Youcamp! Situated on the Bruce Highway amongst bushland and beside a creek is this ripper place!
The remote and rugged coastline, the epic scenery and abundant wildlife is what drew us to Kangaroo Island. We had been dreaming of making the journey over there since we started travelling in our van in December 2015. So this year on our Anticlockwise Lap Of Oz, we made it!
We seriously LOVE this part of Australia. From the stunning rugged coastlines to the crystal clear blue water, beautiful gorges, waterfalls and epic fishing!
